The Learning Playhouse offers Before & After School Care services and a Summer Program for school age children from ages 5 through 12 years old. Our programs are designed to provide a safe, caring, and fun place to go before and after school hours and during the summer time while parents are at work.
Our summer program provides a safe and exciting environment. Children enjoy a full variety of daily activities, special events, and field trips, along with some academic practice throughout the summer. During the summer, we engage the children in many interests. We take the children on several field trips per week throughout the summer and also engage in exciting crafts, activities, science experiments, and games while we are on site at TLP! We also practice some academics to keep the children's minds ready for the next school year.
Each week is built around a weekly theme that falls under an overall theme. In Summer 2013 our theme was “TLP World Travelers” and each week we “visited” a different country. We learned about each of these countries and had related games and activities. Summer 3013 will be built around the theme "TLP Time Travelers." We will "visit" a different time period each week, fill a time capsule, make a time line, go on some new field trips, and hopefully learn something about history on the way!
Some of our summer events include:
•Summer Kick Off Dance •Movie Mondays •Annual Sleepover •Talent Show •Art Show •Super Splash Days •Big Brother / Big Sister Picnic •TLP Olympics •Luau •4th of July Parade •Back to School Party
